C3’s Welcome Center is a point for meeting the needs of guests and others that are new to the church, a resource for information on the church’s ministries, a central location for event planning and registration, an outlet for the church’s media projects such as sermon CD’s and a great place to find out more about Calvary. Welcome Center staff cover a regular rotation of services and Sundays, and are on site at 8:45am and 10:30am for prayer. They cover the desk through the conclusion of services.
Parking Team

During the changeover between services, organized traffic flow can be key to creating a good first impression. Parking Team volunteers work either a setup or breakdown shift once per month. The setup volunteers arrive at 8:30am, setup street signs in the neighborhood, visitor parking signs in the closest parking spaces, and traffic cones in the lot. The breakdown volunteer arrives at 10:20am and works alongside the setup volunteer to direct traffic into and out of the lot. They also pull the street signs, cones and visitor parking signs at the end of the second service.
Ushers

Our God is a God of order, especially where His church is concerned- “Everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” 1Cor 14:40 – and it is the job of the usher to help maintain that order while assisting guests and regulars alike. Ushers warmly greet people as they come into the sanctuary, hand out bulletins, help maintain the order of the service, help with tasks such as attendance counts and are a presence for security and information purposes. Ushers commit to one service one Sunday a month, and work either from 8:45am to 10:30am for the early service or 10:30am to 12:30pm for the later service.
Greeter team

Greeters may be one of the first “official” faces of Calvary that most guests will see. The job of a greeter is to make sure that everyone who steps through the door at Calvary is welcomed individually, greeted warmly and if they are new, that they are escorted to a person that can help them further- either a Welcome Center worker or an Usher. Greeters serve a dual shift of 8:45am-9:25am and 10:30am-11:10am on a regular monthly rotation.
Coffee Reception

Throughout the ages and across the continents, people welcomed guests by inviting them into their homes for coffee and tea. This usually led to great conversation and fellowship. God’s house at Calvary is no different. There are two opportunities to serve on the Coffee Team – the setup person makes the coffee at 8:45am and checks the two urns inbetween services. The breakdown person assists between the services starting at 10:30am and breaks down the service at 1:00pm.
